Event Terms and Conditions
  • The Scottish Masters is open to all players of all standards aged 54 and above.

  • Players may only play in one IFP rating category per event. Where the rating categories are amalgamated, or if a player’s doubles partner is a different rating, players must play in the higher rating category.  Players will self-select their rating and should do so honourably, fairly and in the spirit of the game.  For information about IFP ratings, click here.

  • Players may play down an age group, but not up an age group.

  • Because of limitations with number of courts, some rating categories are amalgamated (see the entry form for details). The organisers reserve the right to make further changes to the rating categories if required.

  • The organisers reserve the right not to hold an event, or to amalgamate ratings if insufficient entries are received.  Entries for each event will be closed once maximum numbers are reached – entries received are accepted on a first-come basis.

  • Both players in a doubles event must submit an entry.  Players entering ‘partner wanted’ will be paired if a partner is available.

  • Each event will be run in round-robin groups; thus, all players will play a minimum of five matches per event.  Winners and runners-up of each group will go forward to a knock-out stage.

  • The tournament will be played in accordance with the IFP Official Rules. Details of these can be found on the IFP website http://ifpickleball.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/IFP-Booklet-PBrules.pdf.   Specific amendments to particular rules (court size, match scoring, ball type etc.) for the Scottish Open will be published prior to the tournament.

  • No refunds will be considered if withdrawal is notified later than 24 April 2020.

  • The organisers reserve the right to add to or alter these conditions.  Its decision in all matters will be final.
